From the SBB/SNCF railway station, take tram no. 1 or no. 2 directly to the Exhibition Square (Messeplatz)
From the Badischer Bahnhof, take tram no. 1, no. 2 or no. 6
From Basel city centre, take tram no. 6 or no. 14

Transfer to the city center by bus or taxi
Bus connections to the city center every 15 minutes - transfer time approx. 20 minutes
Take bus no. 50 to "Basel SBB" and change to tram no. 2 to "Exhibition Square"

Mobility Ticket in Basel

Each guest staying at a hotel in Basel will receive a BaselCard upon check-in, which is valid for the duration of your stay. On the day of arrival, the booking confirmation of the hotel guarantees a free transfer by public transport to the hotel.

Parking

There is a car park at the Congress Center Basel, however parking charges may apply. Please check www.parkhaeuser.bs.ch for further parking lots.

Visa & Invitation Letter

Participants from certain countries may require a visa in order to travel to Switzerland. Participants are requested to check with Swiss representations in their country well in advance of their travel date. It is the responsibility of the participant to obtain a visa if necessary.

Official “letters of confirmation” are designed to assist with obtaining an entry visa and can be issued for registered delegates of Swiss Biotech Day 2020 upon receipt of payment for participants’ registration. Please note, that such letters do not represent a commitment on the part of the organizers to provide any financial assistance.

In preparation of a invitation letter, we will need the following information:

  • Name of participant (as it appears on passport)
  • The date of birth of the participant
  • Passport number
  • The address of the consulate or embassy where you will be applying for the visa

Cancellation due to Covid-19 situation

 

Unfortunately, the global Coronavirus situation has now also affected the Swiss Biotech Day 2020.

The Swiss Federal Authorities have declared a ban on events with more than 100 people taking place in Switzerland until April 30, 2020.

We are very sorry that our industry event cannot take place as planned and thank all our partners, supporters, and participants for your understanding. All registration fees will be fully reimbursed.

Together with our stakeholders, we will now evaluate options to organize the Swiss Biotech Day at a later stage this year and will inform before the end of March, either directly or via this website.
