In our FAQs you will find the answers to the most important questions about the Swiss Biotech Day 2025.

General

The conference will take place on May 5th and 6th, 2025 at the Congress Center Basel (Messeplatz 21, 4058 Basel) in Switzerland.

On the website swissbiotechday.ch or via the newsletter (keep me informed).

The organizer does not issue invitation letters but can provide a letter of confirmation of your registration. Please note that only registered delegates who have paid their registration fee can request a letter of confirmation, once registered please contact register@swissbiotechday.ch with the below details:   

  • Full name as shown on passport 
  • Passport number 
  • Date of issue 
  • Date of expiry 
  • Date of birth 
  • Nationality

Registration & Payment

Everyone interested can participate in the Swiss Biotech Day. The main target group are professionals from the global life sciences community.

There are different rates for the Swiss Biotech Day 2024, admissions are for both days.

Regular rate:

  • CHF 750 plus 8.1% VAT

Reduced rate:

  • CHF 500 plus 8.1% VAT
  • Applies to supporting partners of the Swiss Biotech Association who provide their members with the relevant promotional code. Please note, this code cannot be applied retroactively to existing registrations.

Swiss Biotech Association member rates:

  • One representative from each Swiss Biotech Association member company has free access.
  • Additional representatives of the same member company may attend at a discounted fee of CHF 250 plus 8.1% VAT per person.

Your registration fee covers:

  • Access to all areas (presentations, panel discussions and exhibition area…) for both conference days
  • Participation in the one-to-one partnering during the conference
  • Conference documentation
  • Catering during the conference
  • Participation in the apéros
  • Welcome reception

Unfortunately it is not possible to register multiple participants. Each participant must agree to the data protection regulations and complete their registration.

According to Art. 8 Abs. 2 Bst. c MWSTG  the right of entry to cultural, artistic, sporting, scientific, educational, entertainment or similar events in exchange for a ticket or payment, the place of supply is where the event physically takes place. As the conference is held in Switzerland, the place of supply is Switzerland. Unfortunately, this means we must add 8.1 % VAT to all delegate registration passes. This is regardless of where your company is based.    

If you need to cancel your registration, the request must be received in writing by April 4, 2025 at register@swissbiotechday.ch in order to receive a refund (minus a processing fee of CHF 100). Refunds will be processed after the event. Cancellation notices received after April 4, 2025 will not be considered and no refunds will be made.
No-shows will still be billed for the full registration fee as we are fulfilling our event obligations. However, you may send a replacement from your company. In this case, please get in contact with register@swissbiotechday.ch.

Yes. However, if there are any personal changes, please contact register@swissbiotechday.ch and we will change the registration manually. Please note that we do not offer day passes.

Swiss Biotech Association (SBA) Membership

Here you can check whether you are an SBA-member. Only companies with a branch/billing address in Switzerland contribute to the membership fee and are entitled to benefit from the advantages and receive the discount – with few exceptions.

Partnering

Yes, on-site partnering will be offered again.

The partnering will open in March 2025.

Yes, partnering is included in the ticket prices.

Program

There are no daily tickets and admissions are for both days. But you are of course free to only take part in the parts of the program that are of interest to you.

Yes, you can switch between the parallel program parts as you like.
Please take care not to disrupt the flow of the individual sessions when you change rooms.

You will have the chance to ask questions at the end of the sessions.

The sessions during the Swiss Biotech Day will not be streamed or recorded. It is an on-site event only.

Exhibition & Exhibitors

Furniture is not included. If needed, exhibitors can order furniture or other equipment at their own cost directly through the online ordering shop of the Congress Center Basel.

There will be an interactive floor map at a later date that helps you to find the booth you are looking for. Find out where each exhibitor is located and receive more information about them by clicking on the booth number on the map.

You can switch between hall 4.0, hall 4.1, foyer 2nd floor and foyer 3rd floor to see the program areas.
