Onena Medicines is a biopharmaceutical company with a growing pipeline of first-in-class antibody medicines to treat advanced cancers. Onena’s drugs neutralize a novel class of secreted growth factors called Dual SMAD Inhibiting Proteins (DSIPs). Cancer cells rely on DSIP activity to program themselves to grow by ignoring environmental physiological controls. Blocking DSIPs, as demonstrated in vivo by Onena, elicits cancer cell reprogramming, resulting in apoptosis.
