About the format

Pitching sessions put emerging companies in front of a jury of investors and industry experts. Reverse pitches turn the format around: venture investors and pharma explain what they are looking for.

Sessions are hosted by the Swiss Biotech Association, its chapters and partner organizations. In 2026, they included the Future Stars biotech pitch session, an AI-driven drug discovery session, an industrial biotechnology showcase, the SLAS start-up pitch showcase and Venturelab's Venture Leaders Biotech.

Reverse pitching sessions are among the best attended: top biotech VCs and corporate investors explain their investment thesis, what a fundable data package looks like and how to get a first meeting. The Global Innovation Showcase brings early-stage and late-stage start-ups from the Global Village delegations on stage.
