General

The conference will take place on May 4-5, 2026 at the Congress Center Basel (Messeplatz, Hall 1, South entrance, 4058 Basel) in Switzerland.

The organizer does not issue invitation letters but can provide a letter of confirmation of your registration. Please note that only registered delegates who have paid their registration fee can request a letter of confirmation. Once registered please contact register@swissbiotechday.ch with the below details:   

  • Full name as shown on passport
  • Passport number 
  • Date of issue 
  • Date of expiry 
  • Date of birth 
  • Nationality

The event is based on networking and meeting onsite therefore, we do not have any virtual participation options unfortunately.

Registration & Payment 2026

  1. Once registration is open, go through the normal registration process and choose the rate “Swiss Biotech Association member”.
  2. Confirm whether you are the first participant from of your company in Switzerland (ticket free of charge) or an additional participant from your company working in Switzerland (ticket for 250 CHF/person). Please note, that this applies only for employees, working in Switzerland / employed in Switzerland. There are only very few exceptions to this rule, please see here.
  3. Mark whether you are attending the General Assembly and member lunch on May 4, 10:00-12:00, prior to the start of the Swiss Biotech Day at the congress center in Basel, no additional charges apply.

There are different rates for the Swiss Biotech Day 2026. Admission prices are valid for both days.

Regular rate:

  • CHF 750 plus 8.1% VAT

Reduced rate:

  • CHF 500 plus 8.1% VAT
  • Applies to supporting partners of the Swiss Biotech Association who provide their members with the relevant promotional code. Please note, this code cannot be applied retroactively to existing registrations.

Swiss Biotech Association member rates:

  • One representative from each Swiss Biotech Association member company has free access.
  • Additional representatives of the same member company may attend at a discounted fee of CHF 250 plus 8.1% VAT per person.

Your registration fee covers:

  • Access to all areas (presentations, panel discussions and exhibition area) on both conference days
  • Participation in the one-to-one partnering during the conference
  • Catering during the conference
  • Participation in the apéros
  • Welcome reception

Unfortunately, it is not possible to register multiple participants. Each participant must agree to the data protection regulations and complete their registration.

According to Art. 8 Abs. 2 Bst. c MWSTG  the right of entry to cultural, artistic, sporting, scientific, educational, entertainment or similar events in exchange for a ticket or payment, the place of supply is where the event physically takes place. As the conference is held in Switzerland, the place of supply is Switzerland. Unfortunately, this means we must add 8.1 % VAT to all delegate registration passes. This is regardless of where your company is based.    

If you need to cancel your registration, the request must be received in writing by April 3, 2026 at register@swissbiotechday.ch in order to receive a refund (minus a processing fee of CHF 100). Cancellation notices received after April 3, 2026 will not be considered and no refunds will be made.
No-shows will still be billed for the full registration fee as we are fulfilling our event obligations. However, you may send a replacement from your company. In this case, please get in contact with register@swissbiotechday.ch.

Yes. However, if there are any personal changes, please contact register@swissbiotechday.ch and we will change the registration manually. Please note that we do not offer day passes.

Everyone interested can participate at the Swiss Biotech Day. The main target group are professionals from the global life sciences community.

Swiss Biotech Association (SBA) membership (hide)

  1. Go to “Register here” and choose the rate “Swiss Biotech Association member”
  2. Choose “first participant from of your company” or “further participant from your company”
  3. Choose your company at “Name of the organization/company”
  4. Enter your invoice address
  5. Choose your country
    • If you can only choose Switzerland, the member rate only applies for employees working in Switzerland / employed in Switzerland. All employees from the same company working abroad need to pay the full price of 750 CHF/person unless your company is a sponsor of the conference. In this case, you are entitled of the reduced rate if 500 CHF/person.
    • If you can choose all countries, the member rate applies for all employees of your company (different member category).

Yes, there will be on-site partnering.

Yes, partnering is included in the ticket prices.

Program

There are no daily tickets and admissions are for both days. But you are of course free to only take part in the parts of the program that are of interest to you.

Yes, you can switch between the parallel program parts as you like.
Please take care not to disrupt the flow of the individual sessions when you change rooms.

You will have the chance to ask questions at the end of the sessions.

The sessions during the Swiss Biotech Day will not be streamed or recorded. It is an on-site event only.

Global Village

The Global Village is a platform hosted by the Swiss Biotech Association in partnership with other Swiss organizations that engage in worldwide networking and international collaboration in biotech and life sciences. It offers a continuous, year-round gateway for global biotech clusters to forge and deepen strategic, long-term partnerships within Switzerland’s thriving biotech ecosystem. The Swiss Biotech Day serves as the anchor event for the Global Village platform.

Delegations participating with a booth are invited to engage in various discussion formats, like round tables or pitching sessions with other delegations

Yes, if you are exhibitor of the Global Village, furniture is included in your booth. The booths of the Global Village differ only in size and the individual back wall prints.

There will be a designated press area and a room for interviews.

Attendees

Due to data protection reasons, we won’t be able to send attendees list, but please find the company list for the Swiss Biotech Day 2025 here. Until July 15, 2025, you have access to the partnering platform and you will find most of the attendees on the partnering platform.
