What can be achieved in one global partnering day

The Swiss Biotech Day takes participants on a 30-hour business journey around the world, connecting the global biotech community from East to West.

The journey begins in Basel on Monday, April 26 at lunchtime until Tuesday, April 27 at 18:00. New Zealand kicks off the global partnering day and as the program unfolds, more countries and regions join the journey: Australia, Japan, China, Malaysia, Cambodia and India come into the picture as we move through the afternoon, before the evening celebrations bring the first day to a close.

On Tuesday morning, we reconvene in Basel as the day is already underway in China and across Asia. As the program progresses westward towards Turkey, we welcome an ever-growing international community. By lunchtime, we turn our attention across the Atlantic to the Americas, bringing the global partnering journey to its grand finale with our colleagues and partners in California.

From the first connections in New Zealand to the final conversations in California, The Swiss Biotech Day showcases the power of international collaboration.

A decade of remarkable growth

From a members' meeting to one of the world's global biotech industry conferences

The Swiss Biotech Day began in 2008 as the Swiss Biotech Association’s annual gathering in Zurich before moving to Basel in 2013. Since 2021, the event has grown by an average of 30% annually.

The 2026 edition was our largest and most international yet, showcasing the power of international collaboration to drive innovation and forge valuable partnerships across the biotech ecosystem.

World-class speakers and industry leaders

Keynotes, fireside sessions and the Swiss Biotech Report on one stage

The plenary sessions bring CEOs, investors, regulators and policy makers to Basel. The Swiss Biotech Report is launched on stage on day two, followed by the Swiss Biotech Success Stories Award. In between, more than fifty panels, pitching sessions and moderated tables go deep on financing, manufacturing, data, AI and regulation.

The partnering platform opens weeks before the conference. Delegates book one-on-one meetings with biotech founders, investors and pharma, and meet again at the welcome reception, the partnering tables, the side events and the apéros.
