About the format
Two plenary sessions frame the conference: the opening plenary on the first afternoon and the second plenary on the morning of day two, where the Swiss Biotech Report is launched and the Swiss Biotech Success Stories Award is presented.
The opening plenary sets the theme of the year. In 2026, Kaspar Sutter welcomed the conference on behalf of the Canton of Basel-Stadt, Michael Altorfer opened for the Swiss Biotech Association, and Roche CEO Thomas Schinecker joined Swiss Biotech Association President Patrick Amstutz for a fireside session, followed by a business development panel and Swissmedic.
The second plenary belongs to the ecosystem: a keynote panel on the state of Swiss biotech, the launch of the Swiss Biotech Report with EY, the Swiss Biotech Success Stories Award and an investor panel with cross-Atlantic perspectives on Swiss biotech.
