Where international life sciences ecosystems meet the Swiss biotech hub.
About the format
The Global Village brings together life sciences hubs from around the world and connects them with the Swiss biotech hub to explore and accelerate R&D collaborations, cross-border investments, public-private partnerships, talent exchange and best-practice sharing. In 2026, it welcomed more than 30 international delegations from all over the world.
The Global Village is a platform hosted by the Swiss Biotech Association in partnership with other Swiss organizations that engage in worldwide networking and international collaboration in biotech and life sciences. It offers a continuous, year-round gateway for global biotech clusters to forge and deepen strategic, long-term partnerships within Switzerland's thriving biotech ecosystem. The Swiss Biotech Day is its anchor event.
Participating delegations are invited to engage in the Global Village program including an opening ceremony, a plenary session, bilateral roundtable discussions, panel and pitching sessions, and the international reception and marketplace. Side visits are exclusively organized for participating delegations the day after the conference. Booth furniture is included; the booths only differ in size and each delegation can customize their back-wall print to showcase their home ecosystem.
